Everything seemed on the upswing last week at HIMSS. Management reported increases in attendees and exhibitors.
Walking the floor, I particularly noticed the increase of pure play technology companies exhibiting at the show. That’s been happening for a few years now, as the industry’s focus has expanded and the show has become increasingly horizontal. This year it struck me that HIMSS has entered a new era. We used to think of it as a healthcare technology show. Today, it’s a technology show for the healthcare industry.
Anyone else notice the shift?
