What is it about a meeting that brings out the traffic cop in all of us?
I recently attended two days of meetings with an agenda so tightly scheduled that at the end of day we felt exhausted.
Did we work hard? Yes. Did we accomplish our goals? Yes. Did we stick to the timeline? You betcha. But at what cost?
From the perspective of a meeting producer, I couldn’t help wonder if it wouldn’t have been a better outcome for the audience to leave feeling exhilarated. That, of course, requires a very different kind of agenda.
