If you’re employed in the face-to-face marketing field, you’re busy. Designing, planning and executing trade shows, meetings and events is fun and exciting work. It’s also exhausting.
It isn’t just the work that’s exhausting. It’s also the time spent thinking about work. When I’m really busy, my mind goes into overtime thinking about all the other things I need to do…the stuff on my to-do list…the work not getting done. The upshot? My brain never gets a rest. Instead of disconnecting, it’s always processing.
That’s okay for when I’m in planning mode but it’s not so good for the creative process. Creative thinking can’t be forced. It requires space. A relaxed mindset.
What do you do to recharge your brain? Any suggestions?
